Real Estate and Area Information

If you are looking for single-family properties or a duplex, Premier Realty Grays Harbor can show prospective home buyers the home of their dreams. In addition to finding a home that you will love for many years to come, real estate can also be a great investment. Let's take a look at some reasons why you will want to buy one of the many great homes for sale in Aberdeen.

History

The city was named after a Scottish town with the same name in the 18th century. Like its namesake in Scotland, Aberdeen in Washington was situated between two rivers and was known for its canneries. At the turn of the 20th century, the area was known for its gambling establishments and for being a mill town. It would rely on the timber industry until the 1970s. Its biggest claim to fame is being the port town of the tall ship Lady Washington, which was featured in two of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Parks and Rec

Homes in the city are located near a park system that boasts 20 parks that cover over 273 acres. Residents can enjoy playing in adult softball and basketball leagues in addition to partaking in disc golf. The community skate park is a place where skaters of all ages can spend time rollerblading or skateboarding. Finch Playfield is a two-acre playground where parents can take young children for a day of playing in the sandbox or swinging on the swings.

Attractions

One of the top attractions in the area is the Westport Winery and Vineyards. You can spend time learning how wine is made and then enjoy a nice dinner on the restaurant located adjacent to the vineyard. You may also enjoy the Museum of History that allows visitors the opportunity to learn more about the town and region's history in an interactive manner. This location is a great spot for a date or for parents who want to get their kids out of the house.

Events

The Brown County Fair takes place over several days each August and features rides, food and entertainment for the children. Those who are looking to buy homes in the area will also want to take part in the Deep Blues Festival Northwest at the Mounds, which features jazz and blues musicians that takes place over three days in July and August.

Whether you are single, married or a parent with children, there is never a bad time or bad reason to buy a house. You can create roots in the community, generate wealth for yourself and your family and benefit from the peace of mind that you get when you know where you will live for the next several years.
